Markel Lee: Gamer, Nerd, Disruptive Marketer

Markel Lee is a 2012 graduate from the Communication Design Program and co-founder of AoE Creative located in Dallas/Fort Worth. Running his own agency allows him to focus on what he loves best, “gaming, nerd culture, and creative marketing”. Markel says that being the creative lead in building multi-million dollar teams and businesses is something he’s extremely proud of.

As a 2019 finalist for the Tempest Esports Up and Comer Award, it was Lee’s creative output that drove the marketing power behind such industry leaders as the Houston Outlaws, OpTic Gaming, PVP Live, Absolute Battle, Versus Gameplay, and Panda x Gaming.

As a founding member of Infinite Esports & Entertainment and the Houston Outlaws, Markel has been a champion of diversity, excellence and professionalism in the gaming world and has mentored younger designers into strong professional roles. His ten years of executive design agency experience informs his work in design, branding, and vision, both inside and outside the gaming world.
