This scholarship means everything to me. As a child I hated school and I had no intention of attending college. To be here now, and not only in the Comm Studies program but thriving in it is a huge accomplishment for me. Especially since I still have bouts with impostor syndrome, and I question my place in academia all the time. Being awarded and recognized in this way is a major confirmation to me that I am where I need to be and that I made the perfect choice in applying to graduate school.
