Art & Design Student Organizations

  • AIGA is the national organization dedicated to the professional design community. AIGA Texas State Student Group brings design students together with professional counterparts in Austin and San Antonio.

  • Organizing practices to help artists grow their skills all while meeting other students with the same interests.

  • The Ceramic Arts Student Association (CASA) is a student organization whose objective is to further the understanding and appreciation of the ceramic arts within the university and local community.

  • The purpose of Expanded Media Collective is to encourage and support expanded media. Through this collective students may express themselves through film, video, editing, animation, exhibition, and other modes of expression. 

  • The purpose of the Guild is to organize, activate, inspire, and promote metals students and alumni in their academic endeavors, studio practice, and professional careers. The Guild serves to establish a forum in which metalsmiths of Texas State can discuss studio and professional concerns and can collaborate in activities and events to support and promote themselves, their craft, and their program of study. 

  • The purpose of the Middle Grey Photography Association is to bring together the students of Texas State University who share a passion for the art of Photography. This organization shall stimulate interest in the medium through various programs that provide an open forum for constructive criticism, create a dialogue about the state of photography in today's contemporary world, and promote members' work through multiple venues including galleries, contests, and artist talks. 

  • Sculpture club will establish an outlet for educational experiences in three-dimensional arts within a space where students can engage in community events, learn about sculpture, installations, and three-dimensional art, as well as gain insight from artists who work in these mediums. Sculpture club will provide students with experience, inspiration, creative freedom, and the opportunity to display and sell their art. These collaborative experiences will build a community of like-minded individuals and give them the opportunity to develop new skill sets, collaborate on group projects, and experiment with an expansive range of materials and tools. The club's members will also gain exposure to a variety of diverse artists through presentations of their art and interviews, in addition to gaining insight from trips to art galleries, exhibitions, and artist studios. Furthermore, the Sculpture club will have an emphasis on community which will allow members to participate in fundraisers, sell their art on campus and at local events, as well as engage in group exhibitions.
