Congratulations on your admission to the School of Art & Design at Texas State University! We're thrilled to invite you to Art & Design Connect–a one-of-a-kind orientation event designed just for you, our newest Bobcats. This is your first step into a vibrant community of artists, designers, and creative thinkers ready to inspire and support you every step of the way.

Art & Design Connects will be offered on two different days–choose the date with your major's breakout session to meet your program's classmates and faculty. If you can't make your designated day, no worries! You're welcome to register for the other date and join in the welcoming activity and presentations.

Kick off your morning with breakfast and get to know your fellow classmates in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. We've planned a group activity to help you break the ice and start building those all-important connections that will last throughout your college journey!

After breakfast, you'll hear from our faculty and the School Director, who will share insights about the exciting opportunities waiting for you at the School of Art & Design. This is your chance to get inspired and see how your creativity can flourish here at Texas State.
Find Your Creative Community
Next, you'll join a breakout group tailored to your degree or concentration--whether you're pursuing Art Education, Art History, Communication Design, Photography, Studio Art. Here, you'll meet faculty and peers who share your interests, learn more about your program, and start building your support network from day one.
